On November 27, 2019, traffic along the entire stretch of the M-11 "Moscow — St. Petersburg" toll highway was opened.
The federal highway M-11 is operated on a paid basis. Its free alternative is the M-10 Russia highway.
The route passes through six constituent entities of the Russian Federation: it starts from the Moscow Ring Road in Moscow, passes in the Moscow, Tver, Novgorod and Leningrad regions and adjoins the Ring Road around St. Petersburg.
M-11 "Moscow — St. Petersburg" corresponds to the parameters of the highest technical category with 4 lanes for traffic (on sections directly near Moscow and St. Petersburg there are 6−10 lanes). The oncoming flows on M-11 are separated, there are no single-level intersections with other highways.
Now transport link between Moscow and St. Petersburg has become even faster and more comfortable.
